Terme dello Scrajo โ€” sulphur springs by the sea

The Terme dello Scrajo, sulphur thermal waters looking out over the sea towards Vico Equense, are a few minutes from Maricelle Rooms: reach them by Circumvesuviana (Scrajo stop) or by car along the SS145.

It is the stop many guests don't imagine being so close: a small thermal nook set between the rock and the Gulf, where the steam of the springs mingles with the sea breeze. For those staying with us it is wonderfully easy to reach โ€” perfect for a half-day of water and rest without going far.

The baths and the sulphur waters

Founded in 1897, the Terme dello Scrajo rise right on the coast, in a cove sheltered by the Tre Fratelli rocks. Their sulphur waters โ€” salty, bromine- and iodine-rich โ€” are known for their benefits to the airways, the skin and the joints. Beside the spa lies Scrajo Mare, with sea access and a sun terrace: a rare pairing of thermal treatments and a swim in the Gulf of Naples.
